Data, AI and process improvement in Ghana

Fix the work.
Then make it faster.

We find where your people’s week actually goes: the re-keying, the waiting for signatures, the report rebuilt by hand every month. We fix the process first, then use data and AI to make what’s left faster.

What we believe

Most organisations don’t have an AI problem. They have a process problem, and AI would only make it run faster.

We look before we build.

Plenty of expensive systems were built for a problem nobody had properly looked at. We spend the first days watching the work and asking why.

We’d rather you trusted the numbers.

A plain report the whole management team believes is worth more than a beautiful dashboard that starts an argument every month.

When we leave, your people run it.

We write it down and train the people who’ll own it. The job isn’t finished until they can run it, question it and fix it without calling us.

Services

Start with any one of them

Each service stands on its own. They’re designed so that finishing one makes the next easier, but you never have to buy the set.How buying works

AI Training

Staff who use AI well, and safely, in the work they already do. By now most of your staff have tried ChatGPT or Copilot, usually on their own and with no guidance. We train each team on its own documents and tasks, show managers how to supervise it, and help you agree the rules on confidentiality. Along the way people tell us about the repetitive work that eats their week, and we write it down.

Business Data Analysis

A management team that can see what's happening and decide sooner. In a lot of organisations, leadership decides on figures that are three weeks old and were put together by hand. We start by asking which decisions you need to make, then build the reporting that answers them from the systems you already have.

AI Workflow Automation

Less repetitive work, faster replies and shorter waits. A WhatsApp enquiry sits unanswered overnight. A form gets typed into three different systems. That kind of routine work eats the time of people who should be selling, serving customers or making decisions. We study the workflow first, then automate the parts that will reliably save time, using tools you already have wherever we can.

Business Process Optimization

Work that moves through the organisation without waiting or being redone. When a simple request takes two weeks and five signatures, it's rarely because anyone is lazy. It's how the work was set up, one workaround at a time. We map how it really moves, cut what isn't needed and redesign the rest with the people who do it.

What does the re-keying actually cost?

Pick one piece of work that wastes time, like copying figures between systems, chasing approvals or rebuilding the same report. Put in your own numbers. Nothing leaves your browser.

GHS 126,000a year, or the time of 1.5 full-time staff.

People × hours a week × 52 weeks × hourly cost, where hourly cost is the monthly cost × 12 ÷ 2,080 working hours.

The Asle Operating Review

We spend two to three weeks inside one part of your organisation, talking to the people who do the work and reading what they produce. Then we tell you in writing what’s wrong, what it’s costing you, what to fix first and which service fixes it. One fixed fee.

  • How your people use AI, and where missing skills hold them back
  • Whether anyone really trusts the numbers in your reports
  • Where repetitive work and waiting eat up the week
  • Where approvals and handoffs stall things

Illustrative scenarios

Problems you might recognise, and what we’d do about them

Audit firm

Juniors spend much of each engagement copying client data into working papers and chasing documents by email.

AI Workflow Automation

Juniors back on audit work, with the formatting done for them.

An automation assessment would map the document request and preparation steps across a typical engagement. A likely design tracks client requests in one place and populates standard working papers from client data, with staff reviewing every figure before sign-off.

AI Workflow Automation

Commercial bank

Each month a team pulls figures from several systems into spreadsheets to prepare returns to the regulator, under deadline.

Business Data Analysis

A monthly return the team checks instead of rebuilding.

We would trace each return line back to its source, agree definitions with finance and risk, and build a repeatable extraction and reconciliation so the team reviews exceptions instead of rebuilding the return.

Business Data Analysis

Distribution company

Every credit order needs three signatures whatever its size, and customers call to ask where their goods are.

Business Process Optimization

Routine credit orders that need one signature.

A process review would map the order-to-dispatch process and measure where orders wait. We would expect to propose approval limits so that routine orders within a customer's credit terms need one sign-off, a single point of data entry and a named owner for each stage, written up as a procedure staff can follow.

Business Process Optimization

Private hospital

Bills and insurance claims stall while folders move from ward to records to accounts.

Business Process Optimization

Knowing where every patient's bill is, without walking to accounts.

A process review would follow a set of discharges from ward to payment, measure where time is lost and why claims are rejected, then redesign the handoffs with one owner per stage and a checklist that catches missing details first.

Business Process Optimization

Insurance broker

Staff retype proposal forms into the policy system and chase clients for missing documents.

AI Workflow Automation

Proposal forms checked and filed the day they arrive.

An automation assessment would map the onboarding workflow and count how often each kind of exception occurs. A likely design would extract details from incoming documents, check them for completeness and draft the request for missing items, with a member of staff confirming each case before anything enters the policy system.

AI Workflow Automation

Law firm

Associates are using public AI tools and the partners don't know what client information goes into them.

AI Training

Partners who know how their associates are using AI.

We would begin with a partners' session on what the tools can and can't be trusted to do, and agree rules on confidentiality and checking. Associates and support staff would then be trained separately, using the firm's own document types, on drafting, summarising and review with those rules built in. Repetitive tasks raised during the sessions would be listed for the partners to consider afterwards.

AI Training

Law firm

Intake runs on emails and photocopies, and conflict checks depend on someone remembering past clients.

Business Process Optimization

No new matter opens until conflicts and identity are checked.

A process review would map intake from first contact to engagement letter and agree who owns each check. The redesign would use one intake form, a searchable record of past parties for conflict checks and a simple rule that no matter opens until both checks are recorded.

Business Process Optimization

Microfinance institution

Loan applications are filled on paper in the field, then typed into the system at the branch.

AI Training

Field officers using AI on their phones, with rules they understand.

We would train officers and branch managers on safe, useful ways to use AI in their own reports and client follow-up, agree clear rules on client data, and record the re-keying problem for an automation assessment to follow.

AI Training

NGO

Programme data sits in field spreadsheets, and each donor wants it in a different format.

Business Data Analysis

One set of field data, and every donor's report drawn from it.

We would agree a single set of indicators with programme leads, set up one shared structure for field data and build reports that draw each donor's format from the same source, with gaps flagged as the data arrives.

Business Data Analysis

Savings and loans company

The management pack is assembled by hand and arrives in the third week of the following month.

Business Data Analysis

The management pack on the table in the first week of the month.

A reporting review would establish which decisions the pack is meant to support, which measures matter and where the figures diverge. We would then agree one definition for each key measure, draw the data from its source in a repeatable way and redesign the pack so that exceptions by branch and product are visible on the first page.

Business Data Analysis

Growing retail business

Most sales enquiries arrive on WhatsApp after hours, and many go cold before anyone replies.

AI Workflow Automation

Every WhatsApp enquiry answered, even at night.

We would set up a WhatsApp Business account with instant replies covering prices, delivery and payment options, log every enquiry in one shared list, and remind staff to follow up any lead without a reply or a sale within two days.

AI Workflow Automation

Tax practice

Filing deadlines for dozens of clients live in one spreadsheet, and documents are chased at the last minute.

AI Workflow Automation

Every client deadline in view, and documents asked for early.

An automation assessment would map the filing calendar and document requests. A likely design sends each client a dated request list with automatic reminders, tracks what has arrived in one shared view and alerts managers to deadlines at risk.

AI Workflow Automation

University

Application documents arrive by email and in person, and staff key them in by hand during the busiest weeks.

AI Workflow Automation

Applicants who know where they stand without phoning admissions.

An automation assessment would map the intake from application to offer. A likely design captures every application in one record, checks documents for completeness and sends status updates automatically, leaving decisions to staff.
